The #8 Villanova Wildcats took another tough loss to the Furman Paladins by a score of 76-68 in OT. Coming off a blowout loss against the Michigan Wolverines, the Wildcats played better statistically but their effort still came up short. Well, that didn’t end like last time. The #8 Villanova Wildcats took their first loss of the season to the #18 Michigan Wolverines in a rematch of the 2018 National Championship. Even though both teams had lost multiple key pieces from last season, this game was advertised as the centerpiece of the Gavitt Games going on between the Big East and Big 10 conferences this week. The Villanova Wildcats sit at 2-0 after a dominating 86-53 victory over the Quinnipiac Bobcats at the Wells Fargo Center. The 33 point margin reminded fans of last year’s national championship winning team, as the Cats got off to a flaming hot start.
